So What's On Your Plate?

Connect - Collaborate - Create - Grow.
Why? Because we all have something on our plates that we need a helping hand with.

SWOYP was founded under the principle that we (a group of diverse professional women) can collectively create a measurable impact in each of the cities that we live in.

We accomplish this via our local impact projects. These bi-annual projects serve a purpose in reconnecting our members with the social setting of their local communities by allowing them to utilize their problem-solving, strategic and leadership skills. We partner with socially-driven organizations who are making a direct impact in our chapter’s cities.

Here are some examples of our 2013 local impact projects:

New York City - Partnering with WIE (Women, Inspiration and Enterprise). WIE’s mission is to provide a platform for this generation’s women leaders to inspire and empower the next generation.

Phoenix - Partnering with Next Generation Philanthropists’ “Support My Club” program - a registry style e-commerce solution that connects high school club and sport needs to donors who believe in them.

Cologne - Offering workshops for kids this summer. Topics will range from programming, sewing and even a bike mechanics workshop!

Los Angeles - Will attempt to tackle the global problem of human trafficking, which is largely ignored as an issue within their own community.

Stay tuned for more updates on our chapters, our members, our partners and the impact we’re creating together!
